UPDATE: The Rockford Police Department announced at 4:29 a.m. Sunday that the man, a 22-year-old, had died from his injuries.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police is investigating a shooting Saturday night.

“RPD is investigating a shooting in the 2500 block of Conklin. Adult male sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds. More details to follow when available,” said the department in a post on X/Twitter.
