ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WTVO) — The Chicago Bears could be one step closer to calling Arlington Heights home.

The team plans to start demolishing the old Arlington International Racecourse on Tuesday. Arlington Heights issued permits to allow the Bears to tear down some structures on the property.

The demolition could pave the way for the Bears to potentially build a new suburban stadium. The team is waiting for permits to tear down more structures at Arlington.
