Violent Crimes – decrease of 21%
Robbery – decrease of 16%
Property Crimes – decrease of 15%
Aggravated Assaults – decrease of 20%

In addition, 54 percent of aggravated assaults were domestic related.

However, murders are up: there were 7 murders between January and July, 2018; this year, there have been 9 to date – although one of those cases, a shooting death which occurred at the Great Oaks Apartments on Linden Road, is being investigated by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department and not Rockford Police.
