SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WTVO) — A top House Republican wants to challenge Treasurer Mike Frerichs for his job this November.
Deputy Republican Leader Tom Demmer launched his campaign for Treasurer on Tuesday. The fifth term Republican from Dixon said that he will be a fiscal watchdog over the state’s purse strings.
The primary election is June 28.
