ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 344 Buckbee Street at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
A family of five residents were able to escape the house; no one was injured, although one person was checked for minor smoke inhalation.
According to officials heavy fire was reported from the second floor.
The Red Cross is assisting the family. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
