Firefighters fight fire at S. Main auto repair shop

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Fire Department worked to extinguish a fire at Llanito’s Auto Repair Shop at 1231 S. Main Street Thursday afternoon.

Fire officials say the fire started shortly before 3 p.m.

According to Rockford Fire District Chief Matthew Knott, workers were inside at the time of the fire. One worker suffered a minor injury.

Investigators are working to determine a cause for the fire.

The building is expected to be a total loss.
