ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A large police presence descended upon a residence on Rockford’s southeast side Friday night.
Officers responded to the residence, located in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue, for a domestic situation, according to Rockford Police.
An adult male was reportedly inside the residence and was negotiating with Rockford Police.
The man eventually exited the residence around 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning, over nine hours after police had initially arrived on the scene. He is now in custody, according to police.
