Lindenwood woman injured after car hits tree, utility pole, flips over

DEKALB, Ill. (WTVO) — A Lindenwood woman was injured after she lost control of her car, struck a tree, a utility pole, and landed upside down in a ditch.

The DeKalb County Sheriff says 24-year-old Tabitha Richards was traveling eastbound on Baseline Road in a 2005 Toyota Camry around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when the accident occurred.

According to police, she suffered only minor injuries and was taken to St. Anthony Hospital.

Richards was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
