MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Students at Concordia Lutheran School were evacuated Wednesday morning due to a fire scare.
Firefighters moved students and staff to neighboring Concordia Lutheran Church, at 7424 N 2nd Street.
No fire was ultimately found. Instead, fire crews said a malfunctioning heating unit was discovered.
Students were dismissed for the day due to the issue.
