Man beaten, robbed in Rockford KFC parking lot

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police are searching for two black teens who allegedly beat and robbed an 18-year-old victim in the parking lot of a KFC restaurant on Sunday night.

Police say they were called to the KFC location at 3035 11th Street around 8 p.m. on a robbery call.

Officers say the victim told them he was in the parking lot by his vehicle when he was approached by two suspects who battered him and took his cash and some of his belongings.

Police say the suspects escaped on foot.

They are described as two black males, both about 17 years old. One is approximately 6’1”, 190 pounds, last seen wearing a red hoodie and black pants. The other had on glasses, is 6’2”, 140 pounds, last seen wearing a black Nike jacket and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Rockford Police at 815-966-2900 or leave an anonymous tip with Rockford Area Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.
