Mayor’s Hunger Luncheon proceeds will go to Greater Rockford Pantry Coalition

Local News

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Mayor Tom McNamara announced the return of the Mayor’s Hunger Luncheon earlier today.

Last fall was the first time in nearly a decade that the event was held. The success of the luncheon led to $10,000 raised for Angelic Organics Learning Center.

For this year’s luncheon, the Greater Rockford Pantry Coalition will benefit from the money raised. The pantry serves 22,000 people in need every month.
