Memorial tree planted in honor of fallen Rockford Police Officer Jaimie Cox

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Police Department held a memorial service for fallen Officer Jaimie Cox Wednesday morning, planting a tree donated in his honor.

Doctors, nurses, and other personnel from OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center donated the tree in Officer Cox’s memory, which was planted at Rockford Police District 3 headquarters, at 557 S Newtowne Drive.

Officer Cox, 30, was killed in November 2017 while conducting a traffic stop. Eddie Patterson, 49, was also killed in the incident.
