ROCKFORD (WTVO) – Starting Monday, July 1st, a slew of other increases and laws in Illinois are coming our way.

Cigarette taxes go up by one dollar to $2.98 per pack.

E-cigarettes sellers will need to get a tobacco license to sell the product, and a 15% tax will also be implemented on those purchases.

New minimum age to buy tobacco will be 21 years old.

Car title fees will go up to $150.

People caught texting and driving will now get a moving violation which goes on their driving record, and if you’re cited three times for texting behind the wheel in one year your license can be suspended.
