No new taxes in new Rockford School Board budget

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford School Board has passed a $461 million budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, which includes a flat tax levy – meaning residents will not be subject to additional taxes.

Over $32 million will be spent on supplies for the fiscal year.

Illinois’ financial support for Rockford Public Schools will increase.

District 205 is one of the largest school districts in the state.
