Off-duty Chicago police officer crashed into restaurant, killing a woman

CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — An off-duty Chicago police officer is charged after police say he crashed into a south side restaurant Sunday killing a woman.

24-year-old Terrance Finley was in court Tuesday.

A judge set bond at $40,000.

He’s facing charges of DUI and Reckless Homicide.

Police say Finley slammed his personal car into Tony’s Philly Steak. 35-year-old Marquita Reed was killed.

Another woman was hurt. She is expected to be okay.

Investigators say Finley was drunk and driving at over 70 miles per hour at the time of the accident.
