Ogle County police rescue abandoned dogs, search for owner

BYRON, Ill. (WTVO) — The Ogle County Sheriff is asking the public for information to identify the person or persons responsible for dumping 9 malnourished dogs in an area outside of Byron.

The sheriff’s office posted information about the incident on their Facebook page on Monday.

According to police, deputies from both Ogle and Winnebago County recovered the animals.

The dogs are thought to be 5-6 month old litter mates.
