Police: Two men connected to numerous vehicle burglaries in Machesney Park

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — 19-year-old Justin Collier and 20-year-old Jacob King were arrested Monday for “numerous vehicle burglaries” in Machesney Park, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say they were called to the area of Teakwood Drive and Ventura Blvd. around 3:15 a.m. for a report of suspicious persons running down the street wearing ski masks.

Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the area and discovered the two male occupants within.

Police were able to recover stolen property connected to numerous burglary incidents in Machesney Park.

Collier was charged with ten counts of Burglary from a Vehicle.

King was charged with four counts of Burglary from a Vehicle.

Both were taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
