Poplar Grove man pleaded guilty to child sex abuse

BOONE COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — A Poplar Grove man pleaded guilty to child sex abuse.

Anthony B. Enos, 40, pleaded guilty to Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse. Enos allegedly committed sexual acts to a victim who was between the ages of 9 and 11 between 2011 and 2013.

Enos will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

He also pleaded guilty to Harassment of a Witness, for communicating with the victim while the case was on-going, and pressuring her to tell officials the allegations were false.

Enos faces up to 60 years in prison.

A sentencing hearing for Enos is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20.
