ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Mapleglen Care Center has received approval from the State of Illinois to operate a Recreational Cannabis Dispensary in Rockford.
Mapleglen currently operates one of Illinois’ Licensed Medical Cannabis dispensaries and will continue to do so as it expands its operations in the Adult Use market.
Mapleglen, located at 4777 Stenstrom Road in Rockford, Illinois, will begin selling cannabis to adults 21 and over on January 1, 2020.
Illinois is the 11st state to allow the sale of recreational marijuana.
Back in June, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the bill into law allowing adults to possess up to 30 grams of marijuana.
