ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – Rockford Fire was called to 625 Pope Street, just off Kishwaukee Avenue around 4 a.m. Monday. Once crews arrived on scene they found a small fire in the rear of the abandoned house.
No injuries were reported.
The house is scheduled to come down as it is a part of Rockford’s Red X program.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The building does not have electricity and human involvement has been ruled out.
