ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford area gas prices have fallen for the first time in several weeks.

They are down about a penny since last week. A gallon of gas will currently cost drivers $3.07 on average, according to GasBuddy. Prices are up about 32 cents from a month ago.

Experts warned that prices could become more volatile as hurricane season gets into full swing.
