ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — 34-year-old Paul Thompson is accused of kicking his pregnant girlfriend in the head after he told her he was cheating on her, while they were in bed together.
On Monday, December 9th, at 10:24 p.m., Rockford Police sent officers to the 3300 block of Greendale Drive for a domestic dispute.
There, they arrested 34-year-old Paul Thompson for Aggravated Battery and Interfering with the Report of Domestic Violence.
Police met with the victim, who is reportedly 3-months pregnant with Thompson’s child.
The victim told them that earlier in the evening, she and Thompson were lying in bed when he told her he was cheating on her.
During the exchange, the victim told police that Thompson got out of bed and kicked her in the left side of her head, and then punched her twice in the upper arm.
The victim said she ran out of the bedroom, yelling for her children to call police, but as they were sleeping she ran to the kitchen to get her phone out of her purse.
According to the victim, Thompson grabbed the phone out of her hand as she was speaking to the 911 operator, and hung up the phone.
Thompson was arrested and later booked into the Winnebago County Jail.
