ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — 26-year-old Zachariah Schneider was arrested by Rockford Police on Sunday for allegedly stealing a snowblower from a neighbor’s garage.

Police say they were called to the 2100 block of S. Alpine Road around 7:30 a.m., where a victim said a suspect had entered a detached garage and stolen a snowblower.

When officers searched the area, they found a man and woman walking down the street with a snowblower.

Both were taken into custody: Schneider for burglary, and his female companion, Dawn Haenert, 39, for drug paraphernalia allegedly found in her purse.

Schneider was taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
