ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) – A Rockford man, wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a child, is arrested after a two year search.
In February 2016, Rockford Police were told about an alleged sexual assault of a child, under the age or 13. Police say it happened in a home on the 700 block of Cunningham Street. Saul Colin was identified as a suspect in the case. Investigators say the 31-year-old was involved in a domestic relationship with the victim’s mother.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Colin in December 2017, but could not locate him, learning he had moved out of the area.
Wednesday, detectives received information that Colin was back in Rockford. He was located in the 700 block of Cunningham Street and was arrested.
Colin is charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault, Criminal Sexual Assault (4 counts), and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (2 counts). He’s being held in the Winnebago County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
