ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police are investigating after they found a 26-year-old woman dead on Saturday.

Officers responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Guilford Road for a welfare check, according to the Rockford Police Department. They saw that the front door was open when they arrived.

Officers searched the house and found the woman in the living room. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
