ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Amidst a cyber attack against Rockford Public Schools, District 205 leaders are discussed the State of the District at Giovanni’s on Thursday.

Superintendent Dr. Ehren Jarrett touched on several topics, including the city’s newest school, Constance Lane Elementary, and tax relief for tax payers.

He also spoke about high school academic pathways, a program that connects students interested in a field of study to a local business. Fourteen companies are already taking part.

“Spending time with high school students, and after high school with some of our best and brightest, is not only a great way to support the Rockford Public Schools…it’s also a great way to grow their business and have a strong future workforce,” Dr. Jarrett said.
