LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — Forest Hills road was shut down in both directions after a serious car crash outside the Mondelez factory near the intersection of Pleasant Valley Boulevard on Thursday afternoon.

Rockford Police said two vehicles were involved in the crash and occupants suffered serious injuries.

A 70-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
