Stabbing at Grubsteakers parking lot, 3 injured

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — Three people were treated for injuries after a stabbing in the parking lot of Grubsteakers restaurant in Rochelle Tuesday night.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office says when they arrived at the restaurant, at 14698 IL-64, at 8:43 p.m. they found a man bleeding profusely from a stab wound to his leg.

A woman at the scene also suffered injuries from an altercation with a third man, 36-year-old William Shively, of Ocala, Florida, who was arrested. Shively also was treated for minor injuries.

Police tell Eyewitness News none of the people involved in the incident were ever inside Grubsteakers. Shively was charged with Aggravated Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Battery, and was taken to the Ogle County Jail.

Grubsteakers was destroyed by the tornado that tore through Fairdale on April 9th, 2015. It was re-built and opened again in September, 2016.
