Stephenson County is awarded $20K+ for emergency services

STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WTVO) — Stephenson County is awarded over $20,000 in federal funding for emergency services.

The county received the grant through the Department of Homeland Security.

The money will go towards emergency food and shelter services throughout the county.

The local board will distribute the grants to eligible organizations and is accepting applications through July 10th.

Public or private voluntary organizations interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program Funds can visit or contact the United Way of Northwest Illinois, Inc. at (815) 232-5184 for an application.
