ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Rockford is conducting a traffic study to determine if they will permanently swap traffic lights for stop signs at one intersection.
The traffic signals at Sandy Hollow Road and 9th Street are currently covered, and stop signs have been installed.
The City will use the results of the study to determine whether the lights should be removed, permanently.
City officials say drivers should be cautious when entering the intersection during the testing phase.
