Suspect wanted for stealing car from Janesville auto store

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — A suspect is wanted for stealing a car from a used car store in Janesville.

Janesville Police responded to The Hubb Auto on Monday at 4:53 p.m. Officers learned two suspects, a male and female, arrived at the store in a stolen car and took a car from The Hubb Auto for a test drive. It was quickly learned this was a fraud and that the suspects stole the car.

A short pursuit ensued on I-39. The suspects fled south to the 600 Block of West Sunny Lane. Officers were able to apprehend the male suspect. The female suspect is still on the run.

The female is described as approximately 5’06”-5’08”, 160 pounds and has blonde hair. She was last seen wearing jean cut off shorts, a white shirt or tank top and tennis shoes. She was last seen in the area of Sunny Lane and Highway 51.
