Three police departments and K-9s help bring a Beloit man into custody

BELOIT (WTVO) – A Beloit man is in custody after leading police on a foot chase early Saturday morning.

It happened in the Town of Beloit on South Royce Avenue, between Park and Prairie Avenues just before 12:30 A.M. A man, later identified as Paul Darwin, was seen breaking into cars using a crowbar or brick to break the windows. Darwin ran when Town of Beloit Police arrived. Then they called in help from Beloit PD and Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies, and K-9s, who helped track Darwin down and take him into custody. Darwin is now being held at the Rock County Jail.
