One arrested in Belvidere massage parlor investigation

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — Belvidere Police arrested a woman on Monday for “violations of the massage licensing act” at a local spa.

Police say a search warrant was executed at the Hot Stone Spa Massage Parlor at 2184 North State Street on Monday, June 6th, and as a result of the investigation, arrested 45-year-old Eun M. Lee, of Des Plaines. Police are searching for 67-year-old Mae Hwa Roberts, of Belvidere.

Lee was charged with a felony count of violating the massage licensing act, punishable by 1-3 years in prison.

Roberts faces was charged with a misdemeanor count of violating the massage licensing act, punishable by 1 year in prison.

**This story was updated from a previous version. Investigators initially reported both suspects were arrested. But, informed us that only Lee is in custody.**
