ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad, Union Pacific has announced that one of its original steam engines will be making a stop in Rochelle during its cross-country tour.
The Big Boy No. 4014 will stop at the Rochelle Railroad Park on Tuesday, July 30th between 9:45 and 10:30 a.m.
The steam engine returns to the rails following two years worth of restoration work. No. 4014 is the world’s only operating Big Boy locomotive.
