ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two men have been accused of murdering a 23-year-old Rockford man and hiding his body in unincorporated Winnebago County.

A third man is wanted by police.

On Saturday, June 1st, Rockford Police officers went to the home of William Pickering, in the 500 block of Fisher Avenue, behind the Valencia Apartments, to conduct a welfare check.

Police say that even though his vehicle was at the location, they could not locate Pickering, who is also known as EBE Bandz and Billy Da Kid.

At a press conference on Friday, Rockford Police Chief Dan O’Shea said information lead to the identification of several people of interest in his disappearance, including William Arzate, 22, and Manuel Ramierez, 22.

O’Shea said that the investigation led them to 5200 Indianhead Avenue on June 20th, where a crime scene was located.

Further information led police to an undisclosed location in unincorporated Winnebago County where Pickering’s remains were located.

Arzate has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.

Ramirez has been charged with one count of concealment of a homicidal death.

Police are looking for another person in connection with the case, 20-year-old Dakota Graff.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Rockford Police at 815-966-2900 or Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.

Arzate and Ramirez were taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
