Bringing health to the community, that’s was the message behind Saturday’s Women’s Wellness Fair hosted by Illinois State Senator Steve Stadelmen.
Women and health care providers filled the Riverfront Museum Park Saturday morning with a focus on getting healthier.
They were able to get their flu shots, test their blood pressure and glucose levels, do BMI screenings, receive massage and skin care consultations and balance their chakras.
Organizers says this fair is important because women come back year after year to share their testimonies.
The fair also gave Medicare advice to help women learn about breast and cervical cancer programs for those who do not have insurance.
