ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — On Saturday, April 17 around 7:50 p.m., Loves Park Police were called for a report of shots fired at the Windsor Mini Mart, located at 1038 Windsor Road.

Officers met with a female victim who says her acquaintance had assaulted her, fired a gun, and fled the scene. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Matthew S. Ronan, of Loves Park.

Police say they tried to stop the suspect’s vehicle but Ronan escaped. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney authorized a warrant for Ronan’s arrest.
