ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – Rockford Police say a woman was hit and killed Sunday night in Rockford.

It happened on Harrison and Forest View before 10pm.

Police ask you avoid the area as they investigate

There was a car on the scene police were looking at. It’s not known yet, if that is the car that hit the woman. She has not been named.

UPDATE: Efrain Dominguez, Jr, 25, has been accused of drunk driving after hitting and killing a 53-year-old woman on Harrison Avenue Sunday night.
