Area school kids’ creations were on display at the Rockford Art Museum.
The museum has their gallery walls filled with artworks from up and coming artists from local schools for the young artist show.
The show highlights art from students in kindergarten through 8th grade in school art programs. The show is in it’s 78th year and is lending kids inspiration to keep going forward in the arts by showing them where their future works could end up.
“The level of amazement in their eyes when they come in here and they see their art on a wall in a real museum and just to let them know that the art programs in the area are great and the museum supports them and their schools support them and they should keep practicing,” Janelle O’Malley, Education Coordinator at the Rockford Art Museum, said.
The museum is also having a community day on May 25th to get more kids and families involved and interested in the arts.
