Loves Park man sentenced to 30 years in prison for 2015 murder

29-year-old James Doyle pleaded guilty Monday to First Degree Murder for the death of 26-year-old Moheb Diab in 2015.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police investigated Diab as a missing person on April 13th, 2015, after being notified by his mother that he hadn’t been seen in 24 hours.

On April 17th, Diab’s vehicle was found in a parking lot in the 5300 block of Forest Hills Court.

During the investigation, police developed Doyle as a suspect. Doyle then confessed to shooting Diab and hiding his body in his basement.

Police were able to find Diab’s body at Doyle’s residence at 7702 Eastmont Avenue in Loves Park.

Doyle was sentenced to 25 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release for murder, and another 5 years for concealing the crime.
