Loves Park Police Step Up Patrols After Recent Burglaries, Make 13 Arrests

Over the course of the last three weeks, the Loves Park Police Department has arrested nine juveniles and four adults after a string of burglaries prompted them to increase patrols.

Those arrests have accounted for more than 30 charges for the 13 suspected offenders.

The four adults arrested include the following suspects on the respective dates and charges:

Jonathan Rheinschmidt, 33, of Machesney Park, on August 29; charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, contributing to the criminal delinquency of a juvenile and resisting arrest

Paul Thrist, 19, of Rockford, on August 31; charged with residential burglary

Korrie Burnell, 18, of Rockford, on September 6; charged with residential burglary

Jared Carder, 18, of Loves Park, on September 7; charged with residential burglary and burglary.

All of the suspects were taken to the Winnebago County Jail or Juvenile Detention Center, with the exception of one juvenile that was released to parents.
