Five people are dead and 25 more are injured after a bus carrying farm workers collided with a tractor trailer in Florida on Saturday. The crash caused both vehicles to burst into flames.
The bus was from Georgia and was carrying approximately 34 adults and children. It ran a flashing red light, colliding into the semi more than once.
Of those dead are the driver of the semi and a child who was on the bus, which eventually was engulfed in flames. Deputies did pull people off of the bus until the flames were too expansive and dangerous.
Both vehicles were resting against live wires, which disallowed firefighters from putting out the flames. The flames eventually burned themselves out.
It occurred on US-98, which rides the coast of Florida along the Gulf of Mexico.
According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the area had bloody medical gear, pillows, and other items all over the place from those riding on the bus.
The accident is under investigation.
