A man already serving 10 years in prison for murder, gets another 21 years tacked on for the armed robbery he committed just minutes before.
Bryant Locke pleaded guilty last Friday in Boone County Court. In 2014, he and two others robbed a U.S. Cellular store in Belvidere. Police pursued them after the robbery. Locke was driving the car that crashed into Karen WIlliams’ vehicle near CherryVale Mall, killing her.
Locke’s sentence will be served consecutively.
The other two men in the case, D’Angelo Brooks and Ronaldo Fort have already been sentenced to 42 years and 43 years respectively. They were convicted on several charges, including armed robbery and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
