Man arrested after making threats on Rockford school bus

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) - 36 year old Oscar Moreno was arrested Friday evening after he alledgely threated a teen with a BB gun.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Rockford Police officers were called to the area of Auburn and North Church streets after a report of two, 16-year-old girls fighting on a District 205 school bus.  Officers say a male suspect on got onto the stopped bus, because of the fight, and had threatened one of the girls with what appeared to be a gun.  The suspect then left and went inside a nearby apartment.

36 year old Oscar Moreno was arrested a short time later.  Police say they recovered the firearm that was determined to be a BB gun.  No one was hurt.

Moreno was also wanted on domestic battery warrant in Rockford.  Moreno is charged with aggravated assault, resisting a police officer, two counts of disorderly conduct, and domestic battery.
