Police say a man who died, and was found in a burning Beloit house Thursday morning, committed suicide.
A passer-by reported the fire at 2540 Shopiere Rd. around 5:30.
When firefighters searched the house, they found a 41-year-old man inside with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The fire had been intentionally set in the basement.
