A Loves Park man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after rolling his car while trying to avoid a chicken in the roadway.
It happened at around 6:20am Monday morning on Five Points Rd. near the intersection of Aldrich Rd. in Kingston.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reports that 59-year-old David Clark was driving his 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Five Points when he encountered a chicken in the roadway. He reportedly braked hard, losing control of the vehicle and sliding into a ditch, where the Grand Prix then rolled onto the passenger side.
Clark was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Kishwaukee Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
