A man is recovering after getting shot twice while sitting in his car.
It happened at around 12:30 p.m. near W. State and Vista. Police say the 19-year-old man was sitting in his car outside Steve’s Market when a man on the other side of the street began firing shots at him.
He was hit in the arm and leg and taken to a nearby hospital, but he is expected to be okay.
Police say the suspect got away in a green, 4-door vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact Rockford Police.
