Man Leads Wisconsin Authorities on Chase, Arrested in Beloit for 5th OWI

A police pursuit that started with a vehicle driving down the wrong way of the interstate, spanning two counties, ends with an arrest in Beloit.

It started on I-43 in Walworth County around 3 a.m. Wednesday when a County deputy observed a speeding car driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the interstate. The suspect was pursued through Walworth into Rock County.

Beloit Police assisted in the chase that eventually ended with a crash at White and LaSalle in Beloit. Jacob White, 28, was taken into custody and treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash at the scene.

He has since been transported to the Rock County Jail for his 5th OWI offense. He faces additional charges of resisting, fleeing, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation hold.

No one was seriously hurt in the incident.
