Man suffers minor injuries after crashing car into tree

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A man was extricated from a SUV after crashing into a tree Tuesday afternoon.

The Rockford Fire Department was called to 2403 Bell Avenue around 12:14 p.m. to remove the man from the car, and says they were able to get him out within 11 minutes of receiving the initial call.

The man was taken to the hospital for what Rockford Fire officials said was minor injuries.

The Rockford Police Department was called to the scene to investigate the accident, which is under investigation.
