36-year-old Kellen Horn, of LaCross, Wisconsin, was found guilty of transporting 135 grams of cocaine in an urn he told police contained his father’s ashes.
Horn was in a vehicle stopped by the Illinois State Police on I-90 on November 29th, 2017 for traffic violations. Horn was a passenger in the vehicle.
Police say that, during the traffic stop, troopers found the cocaine in a funeral urn in the trunk of the vehicle.
Horn was found guilty of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Horn faces between 9 and 40 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for March 1st.
